Research & development

Research and development form one of the core pillars of Repair Care. For over 30 years, we have listened to our customers, understood the needs of our product users, and stayed attuned to industry developments. It is practical experience that guides our direction.

Today, the market demands clean, sustainable, and energy-efficient products. That’s why we have invested consistently in innovative solutions. The right expertise for pioneering product formulas

As a manufacturer and supplier, we manage the entire research and development process in-house—for our repair products, tools, and packaging. We work exclusively with carefully selected raw material suppliers and production partners, leveraging our extensive network to optimise efficiency and mitigate risks. This approach enables us to ensure high standards of development and reliable delivery for our innovative products, regardless of market conditions.

Our development process is centred on:

Speed & simplicity: ensuring optimal ease of use for quick and straightforward repairs.
Safety & sustainability: creating safe, sustainable products for high-quality restoration.

Development and testing at a high level

Our lab in the Netherlands is at the heart of our product development. Here, our experts work daily to create, assess and improve our product formulations. Based on our focus on sustainability and quality, we continuously invest in R&D and in our testing protocols. Elasticity, sandability, moulding properties: you name it, we test it; even under the most exceptional conditions. Did you know, that we have our own test station in Austria at an altitude of 1,075 metres where the products are exposed to bright sunshine, extreme cold and high humidity?

Quality guaranteed

As a professional user of our repair pastes and complementary products, you expect a high-quality solution that enables durable, safe, and easy repairs. We ensure this quality through rigorous checks at every stage of development and production.

In addition, we collaborate with renowned authorities such as TNO, the Wood Research Foundation (SHR) in the Netherlands, and the German testing and certification institute IFT. Their independent reports validate the quality and sustainability that underpin our products. This commitment is further reflected in the KOMO and TÜV seals of approval our products proudly bear.

Our Test Panels

At Repair Care, product development is a collaborative process involving both internal expertise and external input. We actively gather feedback from our customers and engage directly in the field. Additionally, we collaborate with test panels of users throughout various stages of the development process.

These panels contribute valuable practical insights and suggestions, enriching our knowledge and refining our development plans. Once products are developed and thoroughly tested, they are trialled in real-world conditions. These field experiences play a crucial role in shaping the decisions we make, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of practicality and performance.

Your input is essential

We only bring our products to market when we are completely confident in their performance and safe application. Even after launch, we continuously seek ways to improve. Feedback from merchants and users of our products is invaluable in this process.

That’s why we’re always keen to hear your ideas and even join you on the scaffolding to understand your challenges firsthand. Sometimes, even the smallest suggestion can provide a significant insight. So, please don’t hesitate to share your tips with us!
