Detailed condition assessment report and schedule of required repairs for each timber element within the scope of the project. Each specified repair is based on Repairs Care’s codified system of repair methods and allows for accurate control of budget and timeframes.

What does a Survey include?

With the Repair Care inspection service, anyone who is responsible for the exterior maintenance of properties can receive a report giving details of a complete survey of the condition of all exterior joinery.

Our Survey in 5 steps

To provide a complete survey, a Repair Care Technical Advisor goes through the following five steps:

1. Consultation

In the consultation, we will find out your specific requirements. Do you require us to only list the wood damage, or do you have additional needs that need reporting? Think about glazing, ventilation grids and hardware. On this basis, we look at what is the best solution financially and technically and provide advice. In the case of joinery that are difficult to access, we also coordinate the options for approaching these.

2. Preparation

Once the consultation is completed, we carry out preparatory drawing work and plan the execution of the survey. We ask you to inform the residents themselves in writing about our arrival.

3. Survey

On the agreed dates, our Technical Advisors from Repair Care carry out the survey. We survey the window frames and external joinery that are accessible to us and agreed with the client. We immediately record all findings digitally. Each specified repair is based on Repairs Care’s codified system of repair methods and allows for accurate control of budget and timeframes.

4. Survey Report

We display all of our findings in a report with clear drawings and images. These detail the findings per project, per address and sometimes even per window frame/ wooden structure. Based on these findings, we work out recommendations, taking into account the specific customer demand.

5. Advice

During a personal meeting, we discuss all our findings and advice in relation to repair methods. We will also give an indication of the budget required and advise on the direction of the level of training required to carry out the wood restoration.
